one of my earliest memories of following football as a kid was watching the vidi printer on grandstand and seeing Carlisle United 2 Chesterfield 6, be great to emulate that one but we all know town and bottom of the table fixtures... not sure naylor will start btw but certainly think/hope he makes the matchday squad, could easily be same starting line up as last saturday i reckon.

We were 2-1 down at half time in that game as well but was an outstanding second half

Unbeaten in 5 games drawing with Crewe, Donny and Bromley and beating Salford and Morecombe(cup game).
Not to be taken lightly.
If we're on our A game, we should be OK.

I hope we hammer them. The home fans and locals I've spoken to aren't holding out much hope.
Their form has picked up in recent weeks but they've hardly set the world on fire and are still bottom of the table for a reason. My mate is season ticket holder there and he says they're a worse team this year than they were when they got relegated from League 1 last season.

3 points from this one, would be a very nice start to the festive season.
One thing I've asked Father Christmas for,is a fit Fleck in our match day squad on boxing day, and to stay there for the rest of the season.

Was there that day.

The fantastic Birch/Wilson side.

Remember singing 'We want six! We want six! We want six' - so the lads gave us exactly that.

But let's not get in front of ourselves. An away draw is always acceptable...

Abiding memories.

A few of us(6ish) where stood incognito near the players tunnel. When the 4th or the 5th went in one of our group picked up on the tetchiness amongst the home fans and started a "Moncur Out" chant, this spread like wild fire down the enclosure and into the main stand, he was dismissed the following week.

We were always thankful that Arthur Cox was considered a decent manager and similar chant wasn't deemed necessary!!!

However, I do believe the chant of Cox Out rang round Feel ill and shortly after the Board obliged.

Presume we can pick tickets up from the ground as normal?

I'm expecting a tough game. They were unbeaten i think in November and had time off as not played last weekend or tuesday.

I do think we will win this but I don?t for one second think we will have an easy ride.

We have looked pretty solid in the last couple of games, if we can stick to the formula we should be ok.

Yes we have looked solid, even without Dunkley, so well done to those who've come into the team and played so well.

Participation ?20k Group stage ?10k win ?5k Draw, last 32 ?20k, Last 16 ?40k, Quarter Final winners ?50k, there's nothing reported for the Semis, but as the runners up get ?50k and the winners get ?100k so suspect that the semi winners get ?50k as well.

There's prize money for winning the semi games as well as the winners & runners up money..same as in the FA Cup.

Any recommendations of decent pubs? We're on the train early doors and making a day of it.

Remember Walkabout and couple of others last time around station but not much else
