I imagine Cook has promised him a deal but just can't finalise it because of the budgetary problem, some players wouldn't be comfortable with a gentleman's agreement but the two go back a long way

Cover for Roberts? I thought he looked pretty useful last night - sign him up if the money's right, but I'd have thought somebody would pay him more than we can. The PC magic might have a bearing though.

I'd have thought so - but I've rated Boco since he scored that brilliant individual goal for Accy against us, as well as being at the centre of most of Accy's best football. The guy's got a lot to offer, and it seems PC is the boss who plays the kind of football that brings it out.
Good signing if we can get him reasonably.

I thought there was an official statement saying the club were not offering him a contract.
Anyway, for what it's worth, here are some comments from the 'retained' thread off the Plymouth board:
Glad Boco has gone
Boco a deadwood player
Boco a transfer that didn't work
Boco didn't show up
Boco gone - good decision
Boco a poor signing.
The only optimistic quote I could fine was:
Boco, perhaps the wrong player at the wrong club at the wrong time.
Make of that what you will.

For me the other night he did ok and fitted into our attacking three well.
Now if that constitutes a deal from us then great.
