anyone seen this lad play yet? is it time to give him a go? don't get me wrong i'm not wanting to make a scapegoat out of fulton, just when things are not working you surely have to try other things, for all I know allinson may be very much 2nd rate to fulton, hence why I ask.

I think Fulton will go on to make a decent career in the game. The problem with him (and 99.999% of young keepers) is that they are error prone whilst cutting their teeth so to speak. Goalkeepers develop later in their career than outfield players and mistakes are all part of what helps them to develop. The real problem is that we are so weak as a side that we put far too much pressure on the lad. He's not got much protection in all fairness to him. Drop Fulton in a decent to good side who can defend and he'd still make the odd mistake, but would look a much more able keeper.

And when you look at Tommy Lee, he's full of errors tbf and even with his experience, he'd be struggling to keep the errors out of his game with what he's got to work with in front of him.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Fulton "rested". He is bang average and has absolutely no presence. Hesitant every game and often you are left thinking "what a poor attempt to save and a decent keeper would have saved that".

He didn't have much to do at Crewe, he's a decent shot stopper. And he can't be any worse than Fulton. Please hurry up back Tommy you can save our season.

Fulton is shocking. I've had the urine ripped out of me all day by gloating blades. Common denominator your keeper is ****. Tell me something I don't know.

It's a terrifying thought, one day being stuck behind Scotland's defence, a few days later being stuck behind ours, stuff of nightmares

Tommy Lee told me on Sunday that he should be back playing by the end of November.

Quite right, Karl. The defence is a horror show. You don't have to be a great side but having a well drilled defence is 3/4 of the battle. That's why, when big Sam or Steve Bruce, etc, go to any badly performing club, the first thing they do is spend hours drilling the defence....and, it works. DW seems completely useless in this respect, as witnessed on Sunday and many other previous games.

Beating the hapless and destined for the conference Colchester was a bit of respite for DW but the reality came back hard last Sunday.

Having a keeper who can stop a shot vwould be a big help.

Having watched all the goals back, they were all "stoppable" just that the defence got worn down and it was easy for the opposition to pick a pass pr a cross or have time for a shot. Keeper should have done better though

Guess this thread pales into a bit of insignificance now...

Your last sentence sums it up, and not for the first time. Unfortunately we now have much bigger issues than a dodgy keeper though.
