Yes, I recall Jason Puncheon made the same allegation, but then apologised and withdrew the comments on his Twitter account.

Sadly I have known of a rumour from quite a few years ago concerning Colin and a player who ended up here, similar accusation, appearance money split between them.

Rumours run that certain managers have had conversations with potential new signings, which go along the lines of:
“What’s your wages expectations?”
“£3000 per week”
“I’ll tell the Chairman it’s £5000 per week, and that will be, between you and me, £1000 for me and £4000 for you”
