Agreed Banks shooting leaves a lot to be desired, Mandeville had a free kick right on the edge of the box in the first half but blazed over so that'll be why he didn't take the next. Banks had another as well which he hit the wall with in the 2nd half.

A few things to note:

• We should've had a couple more in the first half via Dobra and Grigg, although I've no idea how Grigg wasn't offside from Naylor's through ball
• Our second goal was lovely build up play, you won't see many goals like that at this level. Many people comment about how attacking our full backs are and I definitely understand the criticism, but without Horton bombing on we don't score that goal
• Grigg's anticipation for our third was excellent - as soon as Kay looks like he's going to go home to his keeper he makes a move.
• I know I keep waxing lyrical about him but Mandeville's weight of pass has got so much better
• Tyrer with a massive save and Grimes with a massive block near the end, without those we draw 4-4 and everyone goes home fuming. Fylde will score a lot from set pieces this season with Obi, Davis and Omatayo.

Much work to be done, but it's 6 from 6, we're not going to be conceding 2 or 3 every week, things will settle down and we'll be orate.

Pretty much agree with what you have said there, Goku.

Having now watched the highlights, we could provably have been 6 up before they scored. Grigg's anticipation for the 3rd was excellent but he probably felt he should have scored with his earlier chance. Dobra missed chances against Dorking and he missed more than one against Fylde.

I liked the way Mandeville came from deep in the move which led to his goal. That suggests to me that he is quite capable of playing in the "two" alongside Naylor to make room for either Jacobs or Berry to come in on the right of the "three".

Felt, possibly, Shecks could have taken one for the team in the build up for their first goal to stop the attack. Had he done so they might not have had much of a revival.

But, 8 goals, 5 different scorers, 6 points, 2 games in, there shouldn't be too many complaints.

Colclough on the right seems to be a real improvement, his 2 footed shot power is awsome.
God I hate this league.

Decent goals, Grigg's was reminiscent of Sir Jack, Banks can't shoot for ****, no idea why he took the shot at the freekick when Mandy scored from one last week. Didn't watch their goals, no need, outscore the opposition each week and we are laughing.

Mandy took one 5 mins before In similar position when 5 yrds over poor efforts by both
