Went to see Matlock v Rushall Olympic last and guess who was in goal for the opposition, our old friend Cameron Belfield

Well into the 2nd half an opposition defender blatantly hand balled the ball on the line preventing a goal. The referee was subjected to a really impressive volley of abuse for a dozen or so fans that went on for 10 minutes or more. It was so impressive that the opposition joined in especially Belfield who engaged with the crowd with "I'll give him my gloves at the next corner" and "come on, he only used one hand" in full hearing of the referee.

The referee must felt a right divvy, with the home crowd abusing him and he oposition players taking the urine. Definitely worth the admission fee, even if the footy wasn't

You mean Cameron Belford, I think? I noticed how his career had gone awry when he turned out for Rushall against the mighty Belper Town earlier this season.
These go to eleven.

You are right, Belford it is.

I was amazed at the level he is playing at. Perhaps he should concentrate more on goal keeping than engaging with the crowd

I'd rather have Jordan Belford between the sticks.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

As much as I don't particularly like the bloke, I can't believe he is now at that standard. I remember going to Accrington, after the infamous assault during his Bury days. I think he might have been on loan to Accy at the time but he had an absolute blinder against us and earned Accy a point when we could have had a hatful. Not sure but it might have been New Years Day.
