I'm afraid Dave it's hard nosed business, I don't know how this compares to previous seasons but it looks as though the club wish to know their projected ST monies prior to offering deals.

Anyone who is renewing a season ticket will surely have had the whole year without paying for matches and to save up?
Some clubs' early bird ends well before the season finishes incidentally ....

Won't people have had twelve months to 'save up' if necessary?

zebra finance is also available again this season. The way the prices increase are in line with the last 4 or 5 seasons.
BTW Derby's season ticket early bird price finished 15th March and season ticket holders have until 9th May to claim their seats. http://www.dcfc.co.u...es-2339990.aspx

The advert has a season ticket price for "Juvenile 16 and under" but directly below it there is the price per match for "under 16's". As my boy is 16 I'm hoping, based on the wording, that I can get his ticket for £110. Was this the same last year ?

If we price them away at 16 we may never see them again

The concept is peculiar.

65 is the age of retirement and OAP's get most things discounted, you only have to look at the Derbyshire Gold Card magazine to see what discounts they qualify for.

I know, though the retirement age thing isn't the case any longer.
The question is why it's that way. It's become an accepted norm, but strip that away and think about it and it makes little sense to me.

It could also drive more season ticket sales for 14 year olds with one eye on this future saving.
But mainly as a thankyou for bringing along the next generation spireite and dooming them to a lifetime of frustration

Most over 65s (or soon to be 66s and then even older) are pensioners and pension income is invariably considerably less than what the individual would have earned when working. I guess that pensioner concessions for a few things (certainly not everything) were aimed at making things more affordable when this sudden reduction in income occurs late in life. Long may it continue!

Says 16 and under so my take on that is they still qualify for a juvenile st if they are 16 at the start of the season....is this correct. ...can anyone confirm this?
