I'm planning on driving there and back on the day. Have booked some driveway parking in Ruislip via Just Park app and will tube it in from there.

I suspect it's because of the rail strike - a temporary monopoly. Greedflation is its own pandemic. Am I right in saying they've doubled the price? Truly disgraceful profiteering from someone. What a country we live in!

More than doubled it , think we’ve paid 25 this season to get to london on coach for away games. Notts have managed to source a coach company that’s reasonably priced despite the rail strike. 🤷🏽♂️
Anyway I’m gonna stop moaning about it now, I’ve bored myself and no doubt a few others, I’m turning into a wet flannel.

25 miles further to Ruislip than Watford, so 50 miles in total - which could be a tenner in fuel. If you are watching the pennies, that might make a difference, it will be £6.40 to park at Watford Junction...

The road the tube or the car park? Give me the m1 to watford versus the M40 anyday, the might be familiarity on my part. Tube might be busy but I'll be heading in early as my son live in wembley, he can offer his old man some hospitality and we might even walk down to Wembley Park for lunch if he is paying
And 5 mins out to M1 and a straight journey home after a long day - especially if it takes extra time and penalties!

Really? I'd much rather use the M40 than the M1, always quieter, and a bit more scenic .. 🤣

I can do the M1 eye's closed... but may have had a bad experience with the M40, a copper and a speeding fine
