Have you read about the star striker Norwood been voted motm, but couldn't be 4rsed to collect it and speak with the sponsors. Came out with a lame excuse that he had another important appointment? What an arrogant cock! I could never imagine one of our players been so disrespectful, unimaginable!

Cook had Norwood training with the u23’s at Ipswich, tells you all you need to know.

Some argument about who put him there. Their message board says that the fitness team made the decisions as to should be available for selection and it was they who said Norwood wasn’t.
And that Cook wasn’t happy with the dynamics of the fitness team having such influence,, which he has referred to on his exit.

James Norwood has reportedly been transfer-listed by Ipswich Town. And according to both the East Anglian Daily Times and TWTD, manager Paul Cook and his coaching staff have become increasingly frustrated by the manner in which the 31-year-old has conducted himself off the field.

Just been reading up about this in the Ipswich local paper at the time, and it says about the situation, that Cook was happy with his attitude & fitness, but the club had taken ‘a dim view of his off field activities’. Evidently he was contesting a drink/driving conviction.

What’s dim view got to do with it?

James Norwood said on Twitter: Gutted to see the gaffer go. We have a great relationship on and off the field. He was up against it for a multitude of reasons this season and I genuinely wish him the best in the future.

Re the not being available for selection
Norwood stated himself “ it was not down to Paul Cook , he had his hands tied”.

Says the person who slagged Cook off when he left for Portsmouth. And Cook did more for us than Dallas and Kabby combined.

If he had to be somewhere he had to be somewhere. I’m sure apologies were provided.

Fair enough 👍🏻 I can just remember it from the time.

For me, a good player, who for whatever reason can’t play beyond 70 minutes. Would’ve been a great signing but had a better financial offer at a bigger team, and did what we’d all have done in the same situation. Would probably take him back, but doubt we’ll give him the chance

Neither of our forwards can get in behind defences, quigley isnt good enough and grigg isnt quick enough as his legs are gone, yes his 6 yard awareness is brilliant but he could not beat me over 30 yards

Total different player if he came here and had a full pre season behind him

I would have him

He did very well for us and he would have been a superb addition. However, he clearly placed little to no value on the journey he could have been part of here or the influence Paul Cook could have had on his career. He dropped a big one last summer.
