Correct.

Be aware though that one or two UK sites you use may not work because they don't respond to an international IP address. Simply switch off VPN to use them.

Sky Sports announced a new free to existing subscribers service called Sky Sports+ and as part of it every Championship, League 1 and League 2 game on the opening weekend will be shown live.

Quote

The scale of Sky Sports+ will be evident from the opening weekend of the 2024/25 EFL season, with every game from across all three divisions - the Championship, League One and League Two - streamed live, a first in broadcasting history.

Hopefully my £40pa Firestick subscription will pick all these up because as sure as anything, I'm never going back to having Sky/BT dipping £100pm from me.

Non full sky sports subscription users will be able to stream individual matches on Now TV on a one day basis or a full month use without a sky contract

simples

A Premier league match day cost £11.95 I think last season

Having got used to streaming all the away games when not at the game via VPN, will this be an option in the EFL for Saturday 3pm fixtures? I need to investigate further unless IFollow is completely scrapped as an option.

How are they getting around the 3pm blackout on the opening day? Are all matches to be 12 or 5pm kick offs?

the 3pm blackout only applies when premier league matches are played apparently and that starts the following week so the majority of the opening day EFL fixtures will still be able to start at 3pm

Same rules applies as for International Weekends - taking advantage of no PL to get around it so imagine most will stay at 3pm.

Sounds like every midweek, Bank Hol and opening fixtures will be on tv so hopefully that is the bulk of the disruption out of the way.

I think they will announce TV fixtures all the way up until Xmas in one go too so atleast we will know which games are being moved. Impact for us won't be massive I don't think - they will prio League 1 (Birmingham, Huddersfield, Wrexham) over League 2 no doubt so unless we are doing well I don't think we will be on anymore than we were in the NL at funny times. Only issue is the slots range from a Friday night, Sat lunch, Sat night, Sun lunch, Sun night to Mon night so could be on at anytime when we are on.

Haven’t Sky said that each League 2 team will be on a minimum of 20 times each. If that split 50/50 home and away that’s nearly half the home games getting messed about with kick off time all over the place.

I think that includes all midweek games and bank holiday games so that reduces the amount of Saturday games that’ll get shifted.

Just looked at the price for a Now TV day pass, it’s about 15 quid so a big rise on the NLTV price per game.
