More than 700 people cross Channel in busiest day of the year so far

The Home Office said 711 people made the journey in 14 boats on Wednesday, suggesting an average of 51 people per boat.

I'm told the line being prepared in the tory bunker for the utter collapse of their 'deterrent' lie is a belief amongst migrants that the election will result in an amnesty for arrivals.

So after fourteen years of blaming the last Labour government for their own catastrophic incompetence, they're now blaming the next...

This is genuinely disturbing: https://washingtonmo...gns-of-fascism/

So how many can we genuinely say don't apply to the current tory party...

Crikey it’s from 7/8 years ago, maybe visit the same points on Corbyns Labour Party at the time!
In fact the sexism point, ask Rosie Duffield, Labour MP, which party has a problem with women? Substitute todays Labour party’s problem with women for Corbyns Labour Party with antisemitism. Not a good look in either case.
Obsessed with National security, I thought you’d be haring on about Tory cuts, anyway in todays world maybe it’s an obsession we should have.
Problems with Nationalism? Well they been in power over a decade and you yourself described “walking down any high street you’ll witness a rainbow of diversity so that’s obviously a plus point for the government?”, and the now weekly Pro Palestine/anti semitic marches causing problems on our city streets, maybe we should be more Nationalistic?.
Problems with arts? I didn’t see many Tories trashing statues and art works in the name of BLM or against climate change, did you?
An old article to get yourself wound up about, and certainly not one that genuinely disturbs me.

Hmmm, isnt the point that it slips from being a good thing to being a bad thing, so for example is national security a bad thing, or are you arguing that Labour dont think its important...?

And I dont think you can tar a party with a brush although some may be further along the way than others...

But my answer would be no, I dont think many apply to the Tory party in a bad way, but I worry that after last nights results, they will move further that way to defend their vote from reform, although there are clearly a few Labour voters moving to reform as well..

Just to remind those peddling desperate whataboutery, this sign hangs in the US Holocaust museum.

A Holocaust museum.

In fact exactly the kind of museum everyone spending the last six months championing Netanyahu's regime would surely endorse.

Yeah, irony, huh...

What does it matter where it hangs? Completely irrelevant to your post. Which was more anti Tory rhetoric.
I’m merely pointing out the points it raises don't relate to your post about it as much as you’d like us to think.

Define hypocrisy: the Ben Houchen who'd all but airbrushed the names 'conservative' and 'Sunak' from his campaign welcomes the tory leader to his tiny oasis of success...

Last night was clearly a vote for change but just looking at seats won and lost as I think there is a lot of tactical voting going on currently...

at 4.50 pm on 3rd May as these numbers will change

Labour +115 seats to 758, an increase of 18%

LD +43 to 247, an increase of 21%

independent +76 to 166, an increase of 84%

Green +36 to 80, an increase of 82%

Now I'm a big believer in lies, damn lies and statistics... but doesnt that show that the public want someone, anyone other than the Tories?

It would take a particularly stupid mind to think about voting Tory at the moment

Do you think your language here is acceptable?

Insulting those with learning disabilities is disgusting.

I’ll watch on with interest to see if those who piled in on S&D on the ADHD thread get stuck into this horrible individual or if he’s given a free pass because he’s politically on ‘their side’……

“As a counter”? lol it’s an incessant tidal wave from our good Labour friend, I just punctuate the endless flow with little push backs.

As a reply to your original word. Shame on you. I put you along side the cretin at work who calls the disabled mongs. He was made to look like the bigoted idiot he is in front of his colleagues

Don’t be silly - the word doesn’t relate to disability unless you want it to - and obviously wasn’t the intention.

Retard, mongs, spaz etc are horrific words on parr with the words used to describe ethnic people. The word you used does relate to people with learning disabilities and you know it. So I ask you why use it in the first place?
