I'm having great difficulty watching the press conference on Sky news where a human rights director, Asim Quershi, is talking about the kind gentle caring person that Mohammed Emwazi, supposedly identified as Jihadi John, was when he knew him.

It's horrible the way the press have given him the 'Jihadi John' nickname - trivialising the nature of his evil crimes by making him sound like a Marvel comic character or something!

I read how a leading muslim teacher admitted there is no evidence the prophet mohammad existed and has gone into hiding, its a strange world when people believe in something that lacks evidence, its even stranger when they kill in its name.

Heard on the radio human rights people saying that he's only gone to Isis because he felt victimised by being put on terrorist watch. Absolutely ridiculous, anyone that sympathises with this scum bag deserves to have their head chopped off.

That was the whole basis of the CAGE press conference,,it doesn't matter what hideous acts he's committed it all started because our UK anti terror organisations didn't allow him to go to Tanzania on safari..
It was totally abhorrent to listen to..and there are people out there who will actually believe this rubbish!
Of course a decent well raised Muslim boy was just going to Tanzania on a safari during a break from his studies, nothing to do at all with it being a back door to joining Muslim terrorist groups in Somalia....

Until Islam (the wider community so to speak) start to take responsibilty and accept criticism of thier faith nothing will change. Extremists will recruit dissillusioned young men, enticed bu the honey trap of paradise, angered by world events, empowered by evil teachings and crimes of this nature will continue and spread.

Given a couple of posters on here who declared sympathy for Rotherham Social Services and the Labour Council who failed to protect children from Pakistani sexual predators, one of whom recently defended the Director of Haringey's Childrens' Services over the death of Baby Peter, how unsurprising it would be if they declared sympathy with the 'Cage' apologists who are blaming Islamaphobia for the murderous barbarity of Jihadi John and the Lee Rigby murderers.

Their attempt to brand 'Jihadi John's' actions as equal to that of the British and American Sectret Services is abominable.

You are right it makes difficult listening.

Two of them have form and have previously been investigated by the authorities. Asim Qureshi has been photographed speaking at anti-British rallies and is on record as supporting the priniciples of Jihad. He now, comes across as a smiling 'reasonable' mediator.

You need to wake up from your inertia. It won't happen in Chesterfield but we've already been put on alert that Stratford Westfield could be a target.

Well, as a matter of fact, you did. You expressed sympathy for her position implying that she wasn't totally responsible for the outcome. I responded fully, explaining how the cases procedure works and how the ultimate responsiblity was hers. You didn't reply.

I wasn't speaking about the wider situation, merely about the specific question S&D asked about why a group nobody has heard about are on radio.
