He did add that bit of, I cannot find an expression, but he gave us width and could take the ball past players on the wing!
Next year we need ball to feet, for the likes of Larkin!

Actually David Larkin's got to start looking like a striker to keep his place up front. As such he might be more likely to get a game out wide which would mean in direct competition with Hurst if he is signed. Also Hurst has failed to get balls to the feet of Larkin for the most part of last season which seems to be part of your argument as to why he is a "must".
I'd like to think that we sign two strikers, MacF has approached three, so with young Jamie Jackson also competing for a place alongside Paul Hall, Chief & Caleb there could be a lot of competition in that area

I don't think Warnock is thinking like that.
He's going to get his 1st team sorted, with players to fill in every position, before he decides what to do with the likes of Hursty, either loan out or sell.

Like i said his plans won't include Hurst,Warnock will probably buy in.

Obviously, else they'll be down by Xmas.
Its whether he wants him out on loan or just going to sell him, he wants some of pre-season to see if Kev can progress I presume, before deciding.

Considering the abysmal run of form shouldnt we looking elsewhere for new players considering that if the season had been a few games longer we would have probably been relegated?

i think that is a fair point T.F although certain factors may? disagree
can we afford hurst on 700 p.w, bearing in mind warnock prob won't foot 500 pw like he did last season twds the wages
kev did have his moments but needs to sharpen his act up..... although given the choice between him & adam, well........
roy has good contacts in the game, has made some shrewd signings/loanees in the past.... have faith
if we get phil pick, that will be an fabulous capture.... will keep one of our far-eastern supporters happy, that's for sure !!!!
happy searching roy
p.s any chance of t'cham getting another chance?

If it wasn't for these loan players we might have been in a worse position than we are now, like league 2 for instance,i still think we need additional players too and hopefully Roy will get them,i don't class Picken as an addition as such as we had him for 33 games last season and if he signs great but we need more.

Sky Sports News were reporting on their scrolling news at the bottom that he is in talks with Chester.
With regard to Hursty he did well in his first spell and really made a difference but when he came back for his second spell he was good on a consistent basis and for some reason he hasnt got the fitness to last 90mins, how many games that he started was he subbed when he faded out of the game as his fitness disappeared.
