thats a bit of a blow. if that goes ahead, we can kiss our "extra revenue" goodbye.
also interesting to note that there were several suggestions last year in the fundraising section that spoke of casino`s and the new ground.
another possible money spinner ignored?

The proposal at Unstone has been around for years but has been resurrected by the potential casino. With only 16 regional casinos, and three sites suggested in Sheffield, I can't see this project being viable.

Eh? This is a completely different project.
I think DP is saying that the new ground could become a massive white elephant if this got the go ahead. Good job we havent put all our eggs in one basket then.

I believe the outline planning has been there for a decade and resulted in a golf course. With the possibility of a casino there is now a proposal to build a leisure complex that it is claimed might be a bigger attraction than Alton Towers. Looking again I note that the proposal is for a regional "super" casino for which one licence will be granted. Twenty-six other authorities have put in bids and the favourite is Blackpool.

You may think what you like, he didn't say anything of the kind. Do you hear strange voices in your head that say these things, 'cos you don't read them on here.

Actually your right, I thought DP was the original poster. I think its MP-Spire who is suggesting it instead.
Edit - Keep "frantically trawling" through my posts though so you can continue your petty arguments. Its quite flattering having a stalker.
