I quite like Harrison Male from Dorking on the GK front. Certainly shot stopping, but he's quite small. He rejected terms on a new deal and is free... however given that, it's unlikely he'd then want to be a number 2.

Talk is he's off to York, he'e originally from East Yorkshire (Bridlington) and spent a number of years in the Leeds youth teams. Part of leaving Dorking is apparently him wanting to head back that way.

Stories that Pickford might be a transfer target, so that might move Tyrer up the pecking order at Everton

He's being mentioned as one they might have to sell to avoid further FFP sanctions but the media seem to link a different player with being sold for FFP every few days.

Bet his day was better than ours/yours, can’t see a chuckle any where there.

I mean clearly it wasn’t on the day 🙄🙄🙄 was obviously talking about when I saw he’d been released….but I don’t know why I’m explaining, i think you knew what I meant and chose to be pedantic 🤔

There were people feeling the same when Grigg was a rumour. Well that soon changed.
Having said that he is getting on a bit so, well who knows🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm on the fence with this one.
Sharpe has operated at a decent level most of his career and is a very good finisher given the service.
At 38, on paper it might be pushing it, but if he's kept himself fit, might be worth a season.
But it still leaves the problem of no pace up top

No from me, Grigg and Sharpe both good finishers in the box. We need something different, preferably a tall young striker with pace.

You're probably right.
Money best spent elsewhere.

But I just have a niggling feeling he'd be in the goals at this level.

    Music (the louder,faster the better).

We only need a striker with pace if we're going to play the ball over the defence for a striker to run onto.
We don't play like that, we play it on the wings as we all know. If we do decide to play like that, it would be a "plan b" and that is what JQ would be used for.

A striker with pace who scores goals for fun will get a contract with a club higher up than us. We could always give Andy Dallas a call👎. Unless we can find a diamond in the rough, then I think someone like Billy Sharpe would be good alternative to Will Grigg. He'll have his bus pass now and I'm sure he's eligible for senior citizens rates at Dobbies,so we may get him on the cheap 😁.

I’m not sure Sharp does cheap but if he is prepared to come for very low wages it could be worth considering.

He’s never been one of my favourite players but neither was Jack Lester until he played for us.

However, I think we might be eyeing somebody younger, taller and faster.

Many fans were very unsure about Grigg when he signed but he ended up scoring more goals this season than he did for the previous 4 years, in Cook we trust

At this level there’s always going to be the need to speculate. James Berry is showing far more optimism for me that we have a player than Jez U ever did.
It might be the same re Drummond?

Given how much we paid for the respective players he should be showing a lot more than Jez

I’m yet to see anything from Hobson apart from running around a lot

I didn’t think last year he looked good enough to be in our team so going up a level may be too much at this stage. I can see him going out on loan again.

Quigley nowhere near good enough if we want to compete at the top end
