MK Dons were not a good team at all 2day but the 2 CB's coped easily with the long ball, time and time again from Chesterfield.Wycan we not say 'right the long ball isnt working, lets try.....' yet even when 2ft Ward was upfront the long ball still thumped over the top! We have no back up plan! Obviously its not the scoring goals that is the problem, it just that we keep leaking them, so it looks pretty grim on that front. At least we looked a decent team in the first half theyhad to keep diving to win so that at least says something for the Spireites. Keep that prfomance up against lesser teams and we will be hammering them 4-0.
Just 1 point to finish on.....is it not about time we paid Fletchers contract up? What a pile of s**t, Chief was better!

I thought Mk looked very good on the ball. Also thought it was the introduction of Fletcher that helped create the goal. All about opinions.

I'm still scratching my bonce for their first one. Initially, their player passed a moving ball to their left back and the ref made them take it again. Guess what, even after getting the postcard, we failed to mark the same outlet, so the MK player made the same pass from the free kick which resulted in them scoring.
As a whole, I thought we were very deep tonight and invited them to have a go at us. The midfield was far too flat for my liking, which obviously didn't improve when Rico had to gamble with the 4-3-3. If I was Brighton scout, I wouldn't have been overly impressed tonight.

When our full-backs can't or won't get forward the lack of width becomes embarassing. I can see why they're told to do it - it tightens up the defence - but all the good work goes for nothing when the inevitable howlers arrive.

Ward probably not on from the start because Rico would have been slated for un-neccessarily changing a team that has won its last 3 games. This also partly explains why the Premiership bumster started, as well as the fact he has played well in his games so far. Before tonight's game would you have dropped him and played O'Hare?
I disagree about MK Dons, I thought they looked a solid outfit today. They pressured us and looked comfortable on the ball, passing it around well. And if in your own words 'its not the scoring goals that is our problem' we had very few chances so maybe they deserve a bit of credit for limiting our opportunities.

Add to that a fairly solid defence well covered by Navarro alongside another player we would love to be in our midfield besides his blatant cheating in both games Andrews
72+ points Play off's
83+ points Party Time

You summary just proves how many games you've been to this season. What is it Andy 4 or 5?? Taken any Forest games in lately?? How you can comment on a the lads from Sunderland i do not know you've seen him play once (last night).

How many times this season have we lost or drawn when the only time the opposition has got in our area theyve scored..
For all MK`s pretty triangles the only time they got in our box, apart from hitting the post, they scored..same with Lincold Friday, and countless other games..

Franchise were very good on the ball, and passed it through the midfield very well.
They had 3 chances, scored with 2 and hit the post with another.
I guess, overall CFC are not quite good enough, and the league table does not lie.
Still, there are 27 pts left to play for, and 6 wins should see us make 7th.

It amounts to a fantastic chances to goals conversion rate against us though, dont you think?
These opposing league 2 strikers must be the most clinical finishers in the country.

Was that because we allowed them to do this by not closing them down enough?
Or was it because they had a far greater ability to pass and move quickly?

Without looking to lay all the blame on our side, Franchise moved it and passed it very well indeed. Our passing wasnt as good, nor was our movement when we did have the ball.

Dead right, Mercury. That applies to virtually every home game. Not once have we even been under sustained pressure, including last night, yet we've managed to concede a ridiculous number of goals. The conclusion I draw - don't blame the midfield, blame the defence for going to sleep.

We lack leadership at the back. Something that has been lacking since Blatherwick left. We have a quiet and inconsistent goalkeeper and a young centre half pairing that between them usually make at least one mistake a match, which unfortunately is often punished.
