It's different for lower league clubs, as they need any influx of cash to stay afloat, but the FA and the England setup is awash with cash.

The cross of England came about to identify English soldiers, fighting in religious wars, like The Crusades for Christianity, not for 'wealth building'.
And for those talking about three lions, you are correct; that's the FA of England's emblem. However, the St George cross is OUR country's national flag; it shouldn't be messed with.
As Bonny has already said; if you think like that, then get rid of the spire and any other emblems linked to to the club...I like animals, so I'm thinking a stag's head would look quite nice. Everybody ok with that?

I was aware of the history thanks, but that's beside the point, which is that the flag of St George has been an English rallying symbol for centuries.

But... I fail to see the point other than to gain publicity, which they've done very successfully

Ordered mine. £11 from Thailand. A few quid postage. Absolute scandal what they’re charging for official ones and these “duplicates” are absolutely identical

I can't imagine Nike would do the same for the red, white and blue of the stars and stripes on the USA national team kit.

His colours have been adopted by several nations.
The red and white cross on our shirts has been interfered with on numerous occasions.
So why has it suddenly become an issue?
Much more imporant is absurd prices being charged for summat that costs pennies to make in some far eastern sweat shop.
Simple answer is don't buy 'em...

But yes the real problem is 80 odd quid for a national shirt! Ridiculous and scandalous
