Apparently they were showered in coins, darts and large sofas back in 2000. I think the guy was joking about the large sofas but given their brain cell quota I may be wrong.
Wasn’t Barrie Hearn their chairman back then

You know what those londoners like to believe about us Derbyshire folk!!!
However there could be the 'odd' example now living down there that could give a bit of credence to part of that saying!!
Yorkshire is Yorkshire
Never the twain shall meet.

Also I remember many Spireites looking on with a mixture of incredulity and amazement when a certain Darren Brown appeared not only in the pub pre match but also on the terraces.

Also remember being in the pub when Brown walked in surrounded by some Town lads licking his ass.
Barry Hearn stirred it up - backed massively by that callous old b***ch aka te Hoey who wanted us kicked out of football so much.
Both sides had idiots throwing stuff (like real men do) at each other.
Can’t remember the score

Barry Hearn probably was one of the the most vocal along with that crook from York City, Douglas Craig
Loved the irony that Craig eventually did more long term damage to York than Brown did to us

Difference being Brown eventually got locked up for defrauding the club, whereas the many other shysters around the league didn’t. We did well to survive him mainly down to the efforts of the fan base
