John moved to Derbyshire from Middlesbrough with his family as a kid and became hooked on watching Town from then on.
Had many a cracking away trip with him over the years and he could be very forthright in his views as could be seen from his posts on here, that was just down to his passion for the club.
He'll be greatly missed by many and leaves a son Archie who also regularly attends the games.
RIP John, miss you buddy.
Shocking news.
No age whatsoever.
Heartfelt condolences to his family.
Never one to mince his words John, outspoken and passionate about the club, a decent chap who will be sadly missed at the match.
Ironic that only a few days ago John was joking about his death and spreading his ashes at the end of Saltburn pier.
RIP John.

He was born in Saltburn and a regular visitor back and nearby Redcar whenever he got the chance

Would there be any value in adding an In Memoriam section to the message board? We get these threads occasionally and they eventually drop off and, such is life, never really thought of again.
I just wonder if the threads could be collated or the occasion marked some way? The naming of this board was to recognise Bob's passing so its not without precedent. Just thinking aloud.
