I am assuming people who think they are good enough for a contract whatever there performances eg Hall, Hazel etc and the fact is ricco says it will be different

hall smith and larkin will go i would think
Hall has had nothing more than a shocker this season Tranmere may have been right to offer him a one year deal
Larkin cant fault his work rate but he's not the goalscorer we thought he would be.
Smith hardly played to cocky always try to showboat at the wrong times when he does play

Ive never liked Hall, when he was asked why he signed for cfc he said that we offered a two year deal and tranmere offered a one!! Just what we wanted

Word on the street is Larkin to County and Hall to Walsall?
To say Rico thought quite a bit about Larkin the rumour pleases yet surprises me!Having said that ,if thats Ricos idea of a striker who will he bring in?
Hall has been disappointing this season after his 15 goal tally of last, those goals this campaign would have kept us up!

Hall should have been used as an emergency striker this season. He's the best finisher at the club and would have converted far more than the goal-shy Larkin. I believe we would have stayed up if he had been used as such...

Couldn't agree more. He's always looked the goods when he's played as a striker. Probably he doesn't like the rough stuff he'd get handed out. Not the most committed of ball-winners.

We've seen how Downes has progressed with first team football, I think Smith could do the same. His main downfalls are ones that could well be learnt ro avoid with experience imo

Surely that's to do with job security though, if you were in position which club would you choose. I think the signing of Paul Hall was a good one, without him we'd probably have got relegated last season. However he is coming to the end of his career, Roy got an extra season out of him than Tranmere, but now he looked past it. A good player in his day.

Better than him saying, "I've always wanted to play for Chesterfield. I think the club can progress and win the league this year" though in my eyes surely?
Rather him be honest than just sell a load of speel. Didn't RM announce the main reason he had signed was that we had offered him a longer contract than other intrested clubs anyway?

I am not sure i just didnt like his attitude. I dont want speel but i want a bit of passion. Ask Aaron Downes and you get the better answer

Hall's always been laid back though, that's just how he is I've always thought.

I looked after his family when they came over from Australia in November and they told me the story of how Aaron got into football and how he rings his dad at 2am in the morning of a match for a pep talk! After that i'l never criticise him again.

I heard Downsie on Radio Sheffield tonight, clearly a good communicator and his enthusiasm for the game and CFC is evident.
I hope he gets POTS next season, only as part of a successful side.
