Those shows, yes, and Alan Brazil is utter garbage too, but Hawksbee and Jacobs in the afternoon are great. Even better on podcast without the ads.

Everything they do comes across as tabloidy compared to something like TMS. That said some of the football coverage on BBC Radio\TV can be as bad when they keep using folk like Garth Crooks or Chris Sutton!!

Talksport is owned by News Corp, who own The Sun, and yes, it often seems to take a similarly tacky approach.
I once signed a petition for Garth Crooks to be launched into space to make first contact with alien civilisation, named "I'm Garth Crooks. Take me to your leader".

to be fair anyone who has seen the footage would agree with him, the fan who confronted him needs banning for life - it does look on the video as if he goes for the keeper
I wouldn't have called the pineapple song racist, I'd like to hear his rationale on that one

I'm not sure I agree that winding up supporters is such a heinous crime
football fans in general think it's perfectly ok to sing whatever they want at players and should the player gesture back then they are vilified - if you give it out you should be able to take it, and a player shouting or gesturing to the crowd shouldn't be used as a defense for running on the pitch and trying to fight him!
We can all agree Ashmore is a bell end, but we shouldn't be trying to make excuses for some of the idiots in our fan base, the club should deal with them which will at least tell the FA that we take it seriously

More fashionista than facist - rather undermines a serious subject

didn't he explain or justify his comment, he can't say a song that doesn't mention colour or ethnicity is racist without saying why
You could sing the pineapple song to white players with similar hair cuts
