Presumably either ignorance or a total lack of respect

Get your facts right before you vilify them all, I was in the northern section of the west stand and the lad in front of us stood through it all.

Because I think it's pointless to worry about these sorts of things. Is doing what they did disrespectful? Yes, but it's their right to not stand if they don't want to. They presumably weren't mucking about or making a noise and disrupting the silence for other people so it's a non-issue. Maybe next year they'll decide they want to stand, who knows. IMO kicking off at some children on the internet because they haven't joined in with a silence 'correctly' is just a waste of time and effort.

Because those that died did so to allow us the freedom not to be dictated to?
Especially over something as petty as how we respect their sacrifice?

To be honest I work with colleagues from the age of 18 they are no longer educated about the sacrifices of our ancestors. Blame Schools

I don't believe showing respect for their sacrifice is petty at all. Sad that you think it is

That's not what I said though, is it.
Of all the things wrong at the Club a few ball boys' body language gets attention?
As long as folk observe the minute's silence it flies in the face of the freedoms won to dictate how they do so.

This is not true. My kids school go the extra mile to educate kids from an early age - They also have a remeberance day/evening which is excellent (including where all kids makes poppies and paintings etc etc). I’d bet that majority of schools in Derbyshire also do something.
Parents also have a part to play in their kids education and should bring them up to respect things like this.
