To be honest though most of it had gone by the time we signed him as his conviction had been quashed by then. Its not like the two or three other clubs linked with him prior to that who bailed after all the fuss over being linked with him. We were obviously fairly convinced as well that the retrial would go his way so in the end we employed someone who wasnt convicted of anything which is not quite the same as all the others. By that point had we not signed him someone else would have done.
