Hmm. "Clean sheets are fine, but it's goals that keep you in this division". Clean sheets are indeed fine, but they're rarer than hens' teeth - worst home goals conceded record in the division? I hope we aren't returning to the Saunders approach of putting all the eggs in one basket and relying on strikers.

I don't understand your take on Saunders tactics at all. Could you expand?

It shouldn't be a problem seeing as he's talking out of his bottom!

Spent a lot of the budget on SEB and Novak, took a big chance with Herd's fitness, and didn't strengthen the defence. It looks to me as though he was simply trying to outscore the opposition, which is fine if it works but a more sensible option would have been to build from the back, especially in the light of all the key players we'd lost. When Martinez was injured he was left with no Plan B.
All speculation about players' wages comes with a guessing alert. It may be they're on peanuts and I've read it wrong.

he's dead right. The defence, both in selection and play, was shambolic last week. Raglan presents no improvement on either Hird or Anderson.

I do hope he was trying to outscore the opposition, given that's what Barcelona, Bayern Munich etc all work towards.
His methods in attempting to achieve it were the problem.

His method was to overspend on forwards, which is what I was saying. Do you have an alternative theory?
