Or simply makes things up again.
"More (signings) to come"? "Every reason to be optimistic"? "No team we cannot beat"?
So let's be straight: when perfectly rational Town supporters point out the fact our squad's weaker and express concern over the lack of replacements they're "sulking", "negative", "defeatist" and "jokes". However trotting out mindless loyalty when no one knows what our or anyone else's side will look like is somehow acceptable.
Ah well, at least our former manager and players escaped unscathed this time.

That's why I clearly put "I'd suggest" and "I'd say". I can change it to the word "guess" if it helps you come to terms with someone having a far more positive outlook on the current situation then yourself?
Feel free to have a brows on any other boards you may have created accounts, on thought if you wish, I don't visit any others myself.
The bookies (who rarely get things wrong) have us down as finishing 9th (sky bet as at 6.11pm today) which hardly matches the doom and gloom many on here seem to be predicting. I simply tried to view us as other may see us and suggested accordingly.

I noted those parts of your post but you said "seemingly the only people who have a downer on us are our own fans" - to me, use of the word seemingly infers that you've seen other fans say they think we'll have a decent season. Seemingly hints at you using some form of evidence to reach your conclusion, or at least it does to me, which you evidently have done as per your mention of the bookies in your follow up post which you didn't mention in your first post. Guess would've probably been a better word to use, yes, but I shan't chastise you too much
As for my outlook on the situation, I think we'll finish lower mid table and I'd be relatively happy with that.

I'd be more than happy with a 10th to 15th finish, as it would suggest a flirt with the PO's, possibly mathematically possible right in to early April.
Anything more than that would be another fantastic season.

Still say top 6 finish
Would you like a wager, with the proceeds going to ashgate?
Say £10 I pay if CFC finish top 6 you pay if CFC finish 8th or lower and a fiver each for 7th?

Wigan need to stop the rot, so to speak. They were expected to be challenging to get straight back to the Prem and look where they are now.
I'm not suggesting they struggle, given the quality they have but for some of their bigger name players, getting motivated to go to places like Fleetwood etc is a world away from stepping out at places like elland road, hillsbough etc
I expect them to be top 6, but don't expect them to smash it by any means.
I think it's shef Utds for the taking.

Wigan are buying players with experience in this league and moving on those who seem uncommitted to the lower division. It will be a major surprise if they don't emulate the last D3 recipient of prem parachute payments, Wolves won the league at a canter
