Cook must think we live in cloud cuckoo land who is he kidding regarding jones...we played drew at left back who could possibly break down so early into his rehab and he leaves out a left footed left back and puts ashley carter in the squad...yeah righto cooky we believe ya.

He is certainly out of favour and perhaps there is something going off but Drew looks better than Jones at LB anyway and he is well into his rehab.
As for the cover Cook refers to presumably if Drew gets injured he's happy Clucas and/or the young CB can fill in
Haven't seen Carter so I couldn't comment on his ability but he obviously provides cover elsewhere

Imagine if drew got jnjured and cluclas was having a blinder and got put back to left back by cook he would look a laughing stock also tendayi could get injured ...its rubbish he is out of favour and dumped.

Drew had his rehab spell at Plymouth and returned fit and raring to go in our squad. Is in the side not as a stop gap but on merit.Jones has lost his way a bit and now has to settle for 2nd or even 3rd choice for that LB spot.

Imagine being the only left back at the club and being 3rd choice...demoralising.

That is one scenario I suppose, how about these ones
Hird and Evatt get injured and replaced by Carter and Raglan or what if Jones is actually back in the squad tomorrow night?

Right all you budding detectives, I take it some posters think Jones should be playing - well on what evidence.
For what it's worth PC has his focus well and truly on 3pts each game, he sees his players every day in training. We are not privy to Cooks thought processes, we are not privy to the self motivation of Jones - somewhere in there are the reasons for Cooks choices.

Not saying he should be playing dave for what its worth i think drew is infront but not on the bench behind carter mani is ridiculous and makes no sense.

"If" Drew had broke down no doubt Clucas would have reverted to LB and the strikers position reallocated.Alternatively Carter off the bench could cover both CB and LB positions.Yes Jones is a recognised LB but that's it.

So cluclas is playing well upfront and either drew or tendayi gets injured so we either play somebody out of position or do a two man switch that means we possible play our striker at left back...can you imagine this happening elsewhere..answers no and if you think its wise then you need looking at
Jones should be on the bench as cover for injuries to either drew or tendayi
Raglan for evatt or hird
Carter has no left back form and we have 2 strikers on the bench and we play one up top....now call me a cynic but i would not expect that in a pub side.
