Conn-Clarke is a target, but he’s after League 1 football apparently so we will have to see.

Billy Sharp would be an interesting acquisition, but I can't see it happening, because I think he'll want too much.
Conn Clarke will go to a division one side that plays the game the right way.
To be honest I think our advanced midfield is more than decent enough for league two, so I think we need an apprentice to Mike Jones, another striker and if both Tyrer and Freckleton don't come back we need another goalie and a centre back. The jury is certainly out on both King and Clements, although I thought both had a decent game today.

Personally, I’m not bothered about Sharp but the lad Brown, currently on loan at Gateshead from Derby, could be a useful under 21 loan player for next season.
Also, whether or not Freckleton returns I still think we need another CB for next season. I thought Miguel had a strange game today. When he advanced at speed down the left in the first half he looked good but not in the second, his distribution was poor at times too, whilst defensively he looked in two minds too often.
I definitely agree on the younger Mike Jones requirement though.
Also agree regarding King and Clements whilst left wondering if Hobson could be developed further into playing the lone striker role should he be required to.

Max Power, another linked, cracking signing if we pull that one off. Turned down Wrexham though earlier this season.

Yep, Brown would be perfect as a loan player, and as for Hobson, I think he has the strength, power and pace to play in any of the advanced positions with a bit of guidance.
Freckleton,at left back, in the second half at least, seemed to lose his position and move into the left centre back's domain. I've noticed that when Jones plays, he's always in Freckleton's ear, praise when due and a rollicking when he makes a mistake. He'll make a really decent player eventually, if he's nurtured.

Colclough is the best player in that list. First name on the team sheet if fit.
