I see for the second time this season the players are staying down south, which seems a good idea as they have two successive games in the south. I assume in the past they would have travelled back and forth, so as I say it seems logical. However it must be costing the club quite a bit. How many do they have to accomomdate? I assume injured players don't travel but they presumably take the rest of the squad rather than just the 11 and 5 subs in cae of injury or illness. Then there is the coaching staff, etc, so presumably they have to pay for around 25 people for three nights which won't be cheap wherever they stay. I suppose this demonstrates a more professional approach and is ultimately cost effectivce.

I am sure the NL has a deal so the room cost isnt that high, and of course if they could send the coach and driver back tonight there is a saving...

Not sure why its worthy of a new thread, businesses make decisions on most profitable approach every day...and of course most profitable isnt that week or month but long term...

They're staying in Southampton then apparently training on west hams pitch then moving nearer Dagenham something like that

I reckon it is probably four nights.
I don’t have an issue with this plan but did think it odd to stay over the night before the Wealdstone game last year with a 7.45 pm kick off.

Thought I read somewhere that the cost of overnight stays are covered by the Kirk brothers. Might be wrong

Don’t read it then. So many touchy *****holes on here. Who’d be a mod?
There are loads of threads I have no interest in, such as the one who goes on about the spiritual stuff or whatever it is he’s babbling about. But guess what? I don’t read it.
Seems some want an empty board or only threads they approve of. Maybe they should take the board over, then they can censor everything that doesn’t meet their approval

We're in this league for one reason, and that's the lack of belief in our current manager the last time around. It's all about being professional and not just saying it. It must be better for all involved,if they stay down south until after the Tuesday match.

Furthermore at no point did I ‘pick holes’. If you actually read it properly you will see I said it’s a good idea. I just wondered how many they would need to accommodate and if all the squad travel?

It’s like he has to start a thread on anything that pops into his brain, unfortunately he’s not very clever so it doesn’t make great reading for the rest of us.

Barabas threads make a lot more sense than yours do, imagine that.

I expect my degree is superior to yours.
Don’t we all start threads about something that pops into our heads?.

Ugh you guys make me want to cave my skull in with a claw hammer

The opening post was interesting and informative for me as I didn't know we did that as a club... and it didn't even say anything negative about it.

Why would you reply complaining it's not interesting? Literally just ignore it and the lack of activity will make it drop down the forum.

How long have some of you been on here and you don't even know how a forum works. Shut the hell up for Christ's sake.
I just don't know what I'm supposed to be

I thought the original post had merit in raising the issue of how the club treats its players and staff.
We can all look at things with varying degrees of interest.
My missus always chides me for never having shown interest in the moon landing, and I have never understood why she doesn’t like the Simpsons.
