For those that can’t make the game for one reason or another the game is being shown on a few channels overseas.
Austrailia-paramount+
Canada-sports net+
Indonesia-bein sports connect
Thailand-bein sports connect
USA-one of the espn+

Only passing on what I’ve seen so if some don’t work it’s not me. Also sorry if it’s already been discussed on a previous thread.

I guess one of the reasons the BBC & ITV haven’t chosen it is because although there are three divisions between us it doesn’t seem like it as Watford v Chesterfield was once a relatively regular league fixture and Watford, despite spells in the Premier & Fa cup finals, have never been a giant of the game. Now town against one of the big six, such as the Chelsea fixture was unusual, even the WBA fixture last year had more appeal as we hadn’t played them in most peoples memories. Also WBA are a slightly bigger deal than Watford.

Also I don’t know if it’s just my old age but it seems harder to keep track of who is where in the pecking order these days with so many tiny ex non league clubs now in the league. For example Stevenage v Maidstone would once have been an obscure non league fixture, now there is such a gap between them it provides a giant killing opportunity. It’s easy to overlook that.

Don't make excuses for them.
The fact that not one National League team is being shown on the 'regular' channels is a disgrace.
No excuses accepted.

Maybe it's time to make the 3rd round draw seeded, for one it would ensure that lower teams get a higher team plus it would avoid the temptation for the TV companies picking the Prem v Prem games they'd have to think about it a bit more. but they'd never do it.

Another way of taking the magic of the cup away. By ensuring that a tie like Arsenal v Liverpool can't happen until the very latter stages.

Not making excuses for them, just giving a possible reason. I would have wanted us on tv, as I expect would supporters of all other teams for their team, inlcuding Man Utd.

They need to have a seeded competition like the German Cup. Lots of smaller village/lower league sides meeting Bundesliga opponents, with shocks also too. Matches are played at the lower sides ground.

It'listed on SportsHD (Kodi addon) as being shown. Alas I've seen matches listed on there and then not shown as a stream doesn't become available.

Absolutely correct, this is what the FA Cup is all about and national TV should not be denigrating the competition in the same way as the Premiership are. This competition has always been about the football pyramid but as we have seen over the past few years the massive amount of money being generated in the game doesn't seem to filter down.

I did say for the 3rd round only, free for all from round 4.

Yeah, but it still takes away that kind of draw. What your post implies is that it makes it better for the tele to choose games. Well, that just means that the fa cup would be changing it's format (albeit for one round) for the sake of TV coverage.

It's to force them to pick games that benefit the lower league clubs not just the handful of Premier clubs that get regular TV money regardless of the FA Cup.

OK if you don't like that idea how about when the Football Regulator gets set up (yeah right like it's going to happen in our lifetime!) leave the draw alone but they put a rule in that the TV companies can only show 1 all Premier League game and only one Premier League v Championship game, any other games must involve L1, L2 or National League teams in all rounds going forward until there are no L1, L2 or NL teams left.

A lot of savvy tech on here
For someone with a PC and a tv with a firestick - you tube etc In simple, lay persons terms, how might one access, potentially, by accident, the Watford v chesterfield game at 3pm? Thanks in humble anticipation.

If you can't get a stream, I've checked for match commentary on BBC Sport app. They have 2 commentaries on there doing the game
(Radio Sheffield & Three Counties).
I assume 1866 Sport would be covering the match but not seen it advertised
