Since a number of fans decided to congregate in S5 several months ago I find the delay in chants between S2/S3 and S5 very disengaging (I sit in S4) and assume the opposition fans (when we get any) find it amusing as it totally dilutes the volume and message. How do fans in other areas hear it?
I am sure that a full throttle co-ordinated chant, with the attendances we are getting, would be a big bonus in intimidating the opposition, rather than the echo effect we are currently producing.I just feel at the moment we are under using one of our biggest assets.
Whilst on the subject of audio,I thought the speaker problems in the south stand had been resolved, but I still fail to hear with any clarity around 90% of announcements?

Are you suggesting that home results might improve with you saying " a full throttle co-ordinated chant would be a big bonus in intimidating the opposition" and "we are under using one of our biggest assets"?

I noticed the kop singing was off yesterday, but put it down to the time of year, and the abundance of local hostelries selling decent hand pumped real ale 😁.

I’m in S5, and you can tell it’s off in there. Always the same though, we either can’t sing in time to a drum or we start a chant and the drum isn’t in time with us. That and the younger folk sing at a much quicker tempo, beer probably has something to do with it n all

Defo love the Come On You Blues for Corners etc.

The Atmosphere is 100% better this season although the S5 lads do sing a lot faster than the rest of the Kop. Yesterday was a lot more noticeable than other weeks.

Very noticeable delay between South stand factions again last night, caught in the middle found myself going quiet again.
Still the PA system in the South stand is mostly indecipherable,I assume the reason for the minutes applause was announced but I do not recall hearing it, for the younger fans it was important they know why and that the man they were applauding made it possible for them to watch a 5-0 victory last night.
Surely the chant leaders in the Kop can communicate with each other and sort this?

The singing was out of sync at Watford too, although a bit more understandable when folks are spread around

The intentions re the minute’s applause were announced shortly before the kick-off and came over load and clear.

Dont think there was anything announced just as it happened, it was all notified pre game.

I've noticed when Howard is on the mic everthing is fine but there is someone else who speaks very quietly. He was on last night anouncing something about cars in the car park. The pair of them must be on the same audio system I would have thought.

I think, or so it sounds, that is a pre recorded message, as it’s the same every game. Yes, very quiet.

Yes, I think the quiet one learnt his skills as a snooker commentator, probably got tips from whispering Ted Lowe😁.

Howard is pitch side with a radio microphone while i think the other guy is based in the control room thats on the South end of the East Stand. Unsure why he's so quiet.

Howard posts on here. Perhaps he’d care to comment. Is the car park announcement pre recorded, and just needs the volume turned up. Why is the announcement so quiet every match?

And was the John Wilkinson minute’s applause mentioned before kick off?

The car parking one was done once really quiet and then done again shortly after where it was slightly louder. I didnt think it was pre-recorded but could be wrong.

Maybe the quiet one has IBS, and he's doing the announcement from the men's, two doors down from the microphone.
