very good performance and i noticed york were tiring at the end of the first half after chasing us for a good 30 minutes,we really did soften them up for a great 2nd half, fantastic goal by grigg which i need to watch again as i dont know how he squeezed it in from that angle it appeared impossible,we are looking very comfortable,Banks got mom ,but i thought Horton was superb.

What is going off with King, something is not right there, came in and played well now replaced on the bench by Sheckleford.

The push over the bar early doors was very good as it was a wayward cross - seen these drop in many times - but Boot was aware of the danger.

Who in turn is also behind Mandeville

Always thought the criticism of Grimes was somewhat unfounded. All defenders at any level have a mistake in them. Jamie is excellent at this level. Commanding in that air and improving on the ground.

Mandeville keeping 2 right backs out of the side, both of whom would get a game with a good number of teams in this league is a joke.
He is fast becoming a bit of a cult hero at this club, and will surely be attracting suitors higher up the leagues?

His long range passing last night was sublime!
I only noticed one that didn't reach it's intended target

Even so, I think he is a much better player further forward. He was a bit shaky in the opening minutes last night and whilst he recovered from that we could have been punished for it too.
Secondly, I felt far too many of our attacks in the first half were down our left side and not enough was happening on the right. The King Mandevile partnership for me looks better both defensively and offensively.
Cook has got an abundance of options which makes both the starting eleven, the bench, and who to leave out hard choices. As a result, we can come up with different permutations, all of which can be worthy of debate, but there is no doubting the over all quality of performances and results we are witnessing at present. Long may it continue.

Said similar to others, I think Mandy playing RB is because Cook wants him in the team as he doesn't deserve to be dropped rather than his performances per se at RB.
I'd play King at RB and let Mandy go back to being part of that rotation of front 3. Dobra, Jacobs, Mandeville, Banks, Colclough, Berry are all outrageous options.
Its time to give some praise to Jacobs also, was very underwhelmed early doors but he's starting to show the quality that comes with his pedigree.

I don’t disagree about the King Mandeville partnership, but it would be a much easier decision if Mandy wasn’t so good at right back! King’s strength has always been going forward rather than the defensive side of his game.
In any case it was Sheckleford on the bench last night, apparently for tactical reasons, not injury. I don’t really understand that, as I would have thought that King’s all round game would provide more options (particularly as there was another defender on the bench) and as far as I can recall he performed ok in the couple of games he had back in the side before Kettering.
