We don't eat much meat at ours as I'm mostly a fish eater and my wife tends not to eat much of it but when we do we always use John Crawshaws Butchers in Sheffield, really good quality.

Love the Pork Pies and Sandwiches from here

We get most of our meat from Mainstream at Stonebroom, always good, especially if buying in bulk for a BBQ or something.

The old man got done by the health inspectors ( sure it was them) at one of the shops, that might have led to a loss of a few customers...

Pies, beef dripping and tom sausage has gotta be from Deakins at Tibby.

Black pudding's damn good, too.

Hodgkins' in the Market Hall is in on a par, though always go to Elliots across from them for chops - lamb or pork.

Jacksons pork pies are the only ones that've ever come close to the gold standard set by the sadly departed Farrows.

Daft as it might sound, had some decent sirloin from Aldi...

Will take a look at Deakins the next time I'm passing.

Farrows, now there's a blast from the past. My grandparents loved the place and as you say, their pork pies were beautiful.

ah farrows, used to have to go in there for a shipping order when there was a family get together as three sisters in law all in exile wanted tomato sausage... 3lb for one, 4lb for another, 2lb for third. Never did pay me mind...

Their trade dropped off suddenly due to a hygiene inspection didnt it...?

Used to love Farrows sausage rolls and pork pies. I've not found a local butcher since who has met their quality but....

...Waterall Brothers pork butchers in the Moor Market Sheffield surpasses every pork pie I've ever tried in my lifel, including Farrows, Birds, Watson and Brown etc. etc. It's pure pork pie heaven.

I don't particularly rate Meadowfresh either. Massively overpriced for what you get!!! They wanted a hundred quid for a double rib of beef a couple of months back. I got 2 for that price elsewhere...

Homemade sos rolls and pp are the way to go. Sos rolls on their own, or with curry paste, with stuffing, with hmade red onion chutney oh my…

It’s definitely not cheap but they do cuts of meat “to order”. I wanted an unrolled brisket with a fat cap I could smoke for 15 hours. Oh my again

And let’s not turn this in to my butcher’s better than yours 😂😂😂. It’s a thread without confrontation for a change 😂😂
