Bounce of the ball all wrong, some of our players really struggled with it, very good win in the circumstances

My link
This study suggests injuries are less likely on artificial surfaces. From my own experience, I had 3 bad knee injuries in 3 years going back to about 8 years ago. 2 x MCL injuries in my left knee and an ACL injury in my right knee. All were none contact and on a 3/4G pitch. I haven't played football since the 2nd MCL injury 6 years ago and started running instead.

They’re so bad, the management didn’t feel they could risk our best player

Thanks.
Just done my own search - conflicting conclusions from different studies - some saying more injuries on plastic. The professional managers and players all seem to hate them.

Can't hide him all season or it's a waste of time having him.
Post match DW said Dobra was left at home because of the plastic pitch.

Don’t think scouts need much introduction to Dobra, they’ll know all about him.

I don’t like to see 3G pitches in the professional, or high semi-pro, game but I think they’ve been a fantastic addition for junior grassroots.
The grass pitched in junior football are atrocious and many clubs don’t kick a ball on grass between November and March.
Three teams in the division play on 3G so they’ve obviously got a distinct home advantage.
From the rest that have to play them, I’d be surprised if there’s anyone else better positioned to prepare for the 3G fixture than us. I wouldn’t imagine many have direct access to a full size, stadium-like 3G surface like we do at Staveley.
It’s one ticked off with a fantastic result but I think they’ll be plenty less prepared for the fixture than we were and struggle even more with the alien surface.

How often do players get left out of the team because they are playing on grass and then pose the same question for playing on plastic.I

Side note on the plastic crumb, there have been some concerns of said plastic and cancer although early studies on it say it might actually be ok.
