Weren't they sold on the basis they'd be reallocated elsewhere for the few away capacities that needed the full north stand?

Edit: I've just checked the initial announcement and doesn't mention that. Does anyone else remember seeing something similar?

Sounds sensible.
Whack the away team in the corner and sell to home fans unless there is a chance that the away team will sell it out. So long as it’s not at the expense of the home crowd. You’d assume we’ll just make the East Stand home only to accommodate those fans that would otherwise have booked the North which was half empty at the weekend

I dont remember any such comment, other than it being discussed on here that they would get moved for cup games (which isn't part of their ST anyway).

So, game 1 - annoy them by not letting them sit in their seat they picked

game 2 - moved them to a different stand altogether lol

I thought we were selling the north stand to home supporters to give us an advantage

Plus we had over 7500 for Dorking and giving Oldham the end means home capacity will only be about 8000

They should have 800 in the corner

Id imagine we would have filled the north stand for the oldham game quite easily

There was 30 odd sold so they have obviously been asked to move, hopefully for premium seats elsewhere. Judging by Saturday they all accepted as nobody was in N2

It was a poor business decision in the first place.

Doubt it but we should be able to sell 8000 home tickets anyway if tgst is anyway true

At least Mercury will be happy

Thought id read it was about 140 ST sold in the North?

Also, they weren't "asked to move" on Saturday, they arrived to be told that N2 was closed and to "sit anywhere" much to the annoyance of many who had bought decent seats in N3 to arrive and find people in those seats.

Given the spaces in other areas of the ground (W7/F1 etc) then it wouldn't surprise me if they get asked to move permanently, without a schools offer then opening the stand for a couple of hundred isn't cost effective.

I checked just before the season started as I was considering an ST move because the seats next to me were taken in the South Stand.

There was 380 in one section and 395 in the other.

No idea about the folk that have been moved. As I said, hopefully they have been well compensated.

I’m sure I read that the league rules had changed in the last 2 weeks and we have to offer every club at least 15% of the capacity. Hence the need to move the handful of ST holders from North to elsewhere.

This ^

Will be the same for Hartlepool and York.

Also depending on their results/league position; Southend, Rochdale and Halifax IMO.

Make of this what you will.... How we decided to sell STs when the rules were this defined, I've no idea.

10.1 All Clubs shall keep their accounting records for recording the fact and nature of all
receipts and payments so as to disclose with reasonable accuracy, at any time, the
financial position including the assets and liabilities of the Club.

10.2 The home Club shall retain all gate receipts. Where a match is declared all ticket the
Away Club shall be entitled to 15% of the total number of tickets available (or a
minimum of 600 at Step 3, whichever is the greater), subject to any stipulation by the
relevant safety authority affecting these figures. A reasonable allocation of the total
disabled spectator accommodation where appropriate shall be made available to
disabled supporters of the Away Club.

Clubs must ensure that all gate receipts are fully and properly recorded and accounted
for in the accounting records of the club.
Clubs should have a system in operation for home games that enables them to
accurately report on the following;
• A record of all tickets sold in advance
• A reconciliation of cash received by category of entrant through each turnstile
• The number of entrants through each turnstile
• A schedule of the numbers admitted to parts of the stadium that do not pass
through a turnstile
• A list of complimentary tickets authorised
This documentation should be reconciled to the overall takings and declared
attendance for each home game.

10.3 Sale of tickets for away supporters - Clubs are required to sell tickets for their away
matches if required to do so by the Home Club and Home Clubs are required to supply
tickets for their home matches to the Away Club for sale by the Away Club to its
supporters if so requested by the Away Club. These tickets are to be made available on
a sale or return basis and must be ordered by the Away Club at least five weeks before
the Competition match to which they relate. The Home Club must deliver those tickets
to the Away Club at the latest four weeks before the Competition match to which they
relate. Where any match is arranged at shorter notice the above steps shall be taken
as soon as is reasonably practicable. Visiting supporters should also have the same
opportunity to take advantage of pre-booking discounts that apply to home
supporters.
For League matches only the Away Club shall be entitled to a commission representing
five (5) per cent of the aggregate sales (exclusive of VAT) of tickets sold on behalf of
the Home Club, unless otherwise agreed between the Clubs. The Away Club shall
submit a VAT invoice, in respect of the commission due, to the Home Club within five
working days of the match taking place.

Interestingly we also have the confirmation of the 5% commision tickets sold on behalf of the home team by the away team. Greed is another reason to screw the fans over when acquiring away tickets.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

So question?,how many times will we benefit getting at least 600 or 15%
