Ok, when the lad's on the receiving end of a tackle, he can, at times, make it look as though he's been taken out by a sniper in the stands but....! The treatment he received today from the Dorking players was deeply unpleasant. I guess we can expect more of that as the season goes on. Referees have to get tough from minute one. Oh, and pigs might fly.

Dobs was outstanding today. He is another level for this League. Im afraid we are going to have to get used to big hairy centre half's hacking away at him all season, and even any opposition player he glides past come to that.

The problem Dobra has is he has a reputation for diving and faking injury and it’s inevitable he will not always get the free kicks he thinks he deserves. He should do what he’s good at and play football.
Twice today he dropped to the ground like he’s been taken out by a sniper and a minute later he was running around like a spring chicken.

For someone so valuable for us, it says a lot that I'm never particularly worried by how long it takes him to get up because I never expect it to be little more than play acting. At some point, though, he will end up getting hurt by someone. He's too silky for the majority of defenders in this division.

It wasn't just aimed at Dobs though, Colclough, Grigg and Mandy got the treatment too. The officials poor today and easily swayed by their players and bench. Two things he did get right were the sending off and the penalty.

Dobra was bright in spells.
But some fans have rose tinted glasses on with him. He was absolutely at fault for their opening goal by trying to do something daft.
His theatrics eventually get caught on to by refs and he ends up losing out on blatant fouls later in games.
He does however turn and find space like nobody else at this level.

Good players are always the villains of opposing fans…because they are scared of him…..he showed today what a real quality player he is…..despite the hacking & kicking he took…he rose above it & didn’t react….under Cook etc he is controlling his temperament…another sign of a good player

I don’t doubt the lad’s ability, he’s a top, top player and too good for this league. His diving and play acting is just a part of his game I don’t like.

Yes due to poor officials, most are Sunday league quality.
