I knew he’d come good.

And he deserves his own thread after all the insults.

But if we defend like that in away games we’ll still be in non league next year.

Up the Spireites!

It was written in the stars that he would score the winner. Hope he enjoyed it.

Great header and so pleased for him.
His goal return hasn’t been great but he always puts a shift in and brings a lot to the team.
Some morons on here (jqid and zigs etc) never give him any credit and just judge him purely on goals per game like it’s a pc game.
Hopefully he can kick on from here and play a big part this season

He made a difference when he came on. He held the ball up well and made a nuisance of himself. He deserved the goal and I’m really happy for him. He’s a cracking lad and interviewed well.

I wasn’t all that impressed with Grigg but I think he has some adapting to do. He should be ok once we get into the swing of things.

MOTM has to go to Goku’s favourite player, Liam Mandeville

See the score prediction thread. I predicted a JQ 96th minute winner. Didn’t get the score right but who cares. JQ won’t!

Joe Quigley is a much better front man than some give him credit for. His hold up play is excellent and he's getting better with the lay-off side of his game. Pleased for him today and even more pleased with the 3 points he helped us secure.

As thrilled as I was to see that winner go in, it was a step above seeing who scored it. Did anyone see what looked like someone in the West Stand giving him a bit of grief before he scored? Did I misread that? Hope so ✊️

What a brilliant header. The cross was basically behind him. I’m still convinced there’s a player in there, just needs to bury the absolute sitters he contrives to miss a little too regularly

He’ll get 10+ goals this season….regardless of some of the fans having a downer on him, he can be an important player…as proven today

When he turns and shoots, he seems to roll his foot over the ball, but he can get round that by putting his laces through the ball. Yes he misses some sitters but you have to be there to miss them.

Is that actually his 1st headed goal??

I'm not having a go btw, I just can't remember him scoring a header before, I really want him to
Shut the doubters up, he works his socks off, and is a valuable asset off the bench, and today proved some of the doubters wrong... hopefully he can do that more often this season.. well done Joe..

No. I can remember him scoring a header at the same end last season (not sure who against tho).

I thought Grigg looked good, some nice touches while under pressure from stronger defenders. Chuffed for Quigley, brilliant impact and yep, Mandeville excellent as well, been great to see his development.

It was painful to read to be fair. Almost indecipherable.
