I know there have been problems with queues, etc.
However it was brought to the meetings attention that on far too many occasions last season a number of fans were extremely abusive to the staff.
Most of these folks are also fans as well as employees and are doing there best particularly when short staffed.
I would ask all to show the concourse staff respect at all times please.

I think the club are massively exaggerating any such incidents, if indeed they happened at all, as an excuse for the dreadful service.

I guess there's the difference. You 'think' verses the staff and the club who actually know.
No doubt the club would look favourably on any offer that you might make to swell the staffing numbers by volunteering to work behind the bars during games.

Thing was, the details of abuse came from a member of the concourse staff rather than a 'club official,' which I'm sure wasn't made up for effect.

Also, great deflection technique from food quality in the concourses

They might actually ‘know’ but it doesn’t mean what’s been stated is factually correct. I’m sure you have enough between your ears to realise that. Maybe it is. What I’m saying is I think any incidents have been massively exaggerated and the problem is pretty much non existent. It does however allow deflection from the real issues.

Of course the personal abuse is wrong…however if there wasn’t anything seriously wrong it wouldn’t happen. The club has to acknowledge that there are fundamental problems in the concourses, and unfortunately, for some, their only course of instant complaint is to vent their anger at the staff in front of them. This will only get worse….concourse staff leaving cos of the abuse, and therefore larger queues etc. Croot seems to be sticking his head in the sand and saying nowts wrong….patently untrue. We have a large and varied fan base and there must be a few folks with experience of the catering trade, the club need to ask for help either internally or from other clubs that get it right, and there are several.

Let’s hope the TVs in the east are working and angled correctly to see the screens..
If they want people in early then at least get this part right so people can eat drink and watch the early Kick offs

The real issues are primarily a lack of staff behind the bars.
Like I say, I'd bet that the club would be more than happy for you to volunteer to step up.
It would also give you with a free chance to test your theory about whether folks working behind the bar know more or less about their experiences than folks who don't.

Don't you have an expectation then that that issue has been resolved following the successful use of agency staff as a trial?

If you watch the fans drop in session from Thursday night you will hear what I believe was the South Stand supervisor verify the abuse

I think people are sceptical of a lot of what the ‘club’ says given the whoppers told over the years (the Carson years admittedly- but reputation carries)

Queues to get in because every leaves it late. Everyone leaves it late because what’s on offer on the concourses is either rubbish or overpriced, and takes an age to get served (even with relatively small numbers queuing)
Fix the tvs, improve the general look and feel of the concourse, fix the food and drink offering and you’ll get people in early and the queues will fix themselves.

Translation:
Dear CFC fans.
The food and drink on the concourses are gonna be exactly the same over priced embarrassing rubbish that we served last season.
The queues are gonna be just as long and the service equally bad if not worse.
Please continue to pay extortionate prices for this rubbish but don’t blame the people who serve it.
Regards
