What happened? Reports suggested, even Pembo commented about approx 800 players that are out of contract due to the pandemic and we sign the same players that failed us before.
He can't tell me that he is happy with the team he has there cos they are s**t individual players that all pull together in the same direction culminating in a s**t team!!
He had a perfect opportunity here with a complete new start and he's signed the same failures up again. You have to question what these professionals must see in these players that we can't.

It’s not like he didn’t have to think about it, he announced who he was re-signing as soon as season was over
Accentuate th Positive, eliminate the negative

‘For me, for all his critics Hollis was much better than Evans last season ‘

This to me is the biggest problem we have ..... and we have many!!

Evans should be no where near the 1st team -he is an unbelievably poor player whose CFC career Is built on a last minute penalty save.

Probably now on a decent wage for this level-I would rather see the kids play and make mistakes than watch this loser play week in and week out .

Captain - my bottom

fully agree with this and said before as a partnership just no, so when you had one under contract why on earth bring the other one back in?

That should be the first major problem to address. Nothing he could do about Evans being under contract but he could bench him and bring 2 decent full backs in. There must be plenty about now. You build from the back. As has been said a question must be asked at the Q and A, what he intends to do about the defence. Teams could score for fun last season and nowts changed.

All irrelevent, really.

No way outfits below Championship level - at best - can pay players for six months with no income.

Summat's gonna give sooner rather than later...

Expect to hear of a compensation package that pays out to cover most of the lost matchday income...

That's not far off what I was suggesting in an earlier post.

I've not seen Butterfield yet but teams still seem to be able to get passed our defensive midfield and attack our porous defence.

I'd start Rawson ahead of Denton if only for his work rate and pace. Also, there is next to no creativity in midfield so it might need somebody to chase punts from the back eight. That's why I'd thought of putting Rowley in instead to give a bit more creativity and by playing Mandeville up front it's the only way I see that the two can be accommodated.

My Team:-
Letheran.
Sharman-Evans-Hollis-Buchanan.
Smith-Weston-Butterfield- Cropper.
Denton. Rawson.

sub: McGuire-Boden-Rowley- Manderville.- Hutchinson.

We desperately need a fully fit Tyson back,,, Hope we can get a quality CB and goal scoring striker on loan.

Hi, thanks in advance, could you ask JP Why we look to be starting with at least one of the centre back pairing of Evans & Hollis who get done for pace time and time again.

Could you ask John how he expects to shift the losing mentality of the football club when he signs the same losers that have been consistently pathetic? Ta.

My Christ we in trouble if that’s our side. Cropper left wing? He’s a right back

Denton and Evans should be nowhere near the side

Doesn’t look like any bookies have the relegation market prices up sadly

Given how many matches Dave attends (and fair B****Y play to him) I do wonder if he actually watches the games, based on the elevens he has picked on this forum over the years.

Can you ask him to reconsider his approach of not favouring loan players and to get the phone to some of his contacts and local clubs and see if they are willing to send us some players for nowt? Wilder has said he’d be willing to help the lower league clubs for free with players. We should be at the front of that queue

I tabbed whilst typing I'd have played Cropper on right. We are stuck with what we've got unless we can some how get a CB and a goalscoring CF on loan, its worrying.

have to say that i'm not sure i can actually come up with a best side with what we've got, there's just variations on average sides. for all the damage sheridan did one thing that stuck with me was his thought about getting a team who give 7/10 performances week in week out, if you go through our squad most of these have struggled to perform at 6/10 on a consistent basis - (not counting the new signings in this as i haven't seen them play)

The streaming revenues will be pretty inconsequential compared to matchday revenue. We’re waiting for what will be done to compensate clubs as others are.

Think there will be a few insurance companies sweating about this -if clubs are denied the right to allow fans in then unless there is an appeal against the result of the recent FCA case, clubs will be claiming loss of profits from non damage denial of access - assuming they have decent insurance...

Flip me I’m normally very optimistic....but you can’t help think we are in for another season of struggle.

A club that’s virtually a founder member of league football.... one of the oldest, one with such tradition & history......I’d rather be us struggling (like Mansfield) at the bottom of leagues 2 than where we are now.

Here’s wishing Pembo pulls a rabbit out if the hat (speaking to my football industry friends that know him, he’s a great man to be at chesterfield)
