Genuinely wasn't referring to the wheelchair aspect! Just something we say to non active public or lazy footballers.

In other words things are said in the right context. So why don't you do that?

Heard a rumour that GB went into the supporters bar today and put some money behind the bar for the fans in there, if so well done GB.

But they dont need to be supporters and they might not be watching the game... why is it cheaper for them than those that have paid to get in on the concourse? Talk about stealing your own sales at lower margin and failing to give benefits to loyal customers...

It was quiet on the Brampton ale kiosk in east stand today. I hope their sales aren't affected by the game under the away end to the extent that we lose this service and end up with swill from over the counters as the only option

We are blessed to get Brampton Bud for £3 a pint in a football ground.

Can you not get Brampton in the "supporters bar"? Its normal for a business to use the same supplier across all venues so as to maximise economies of scale - beer suppliers normally give rebates or some marketing support according to the amount you buy...

wouldnt be great business to have different suppliers in different bars, in the same way it seems weird to give best prices and cheap merchandise in a bar you can access without actually paying to watch the game..... maybe we are not as interested in the football as the beer and food sales these days>...

Don't need to worry yourself about numbers in the supporters bar on Saturday - it was freezin.

We went early to get warm.
God I hate this league.

No big surprise.

Fair play for trying, but with folk having well established pre-match routines a concourse-plus deal was never gonna get them back.

Infact I dare say most that did show up merely switched from one stand to another.

The only real goer would be a pub-style thing open to ST holders or folk paying a modest membership fee probably in the East Stand. But that'd mean real investment, and it seems that ship sailed a long, long time ago...

That ship sailed long ago but it might be back in port sometime in the next decade.

But it needs to be truly tempting

I never went and so can’t comment too much but the logic behind it never worked for me - sell it cheaper there than on other concourses, which reduces margin and must have encouraged some to move location, but don’t offer anything much different to elsewhere to attract a different customer segment. Be interesting to see the business case for opening it...

It may be better supported if it was in a big marquee rear the South Stand car park.

It might have been better supported if it was inside a proper building with heating, comfortable seating, a food selection football on tv etc etc. Like as been said the boat long since sailed, but fair play to GB for at least trying.

GB told me if he had his way that's what the club would build

True, he was even thinking of the possibility of moving the club shop to fit one in

Maybe something that needs to be put on the back burner until the FL hopefully returns here.
