Drew Talbot Appreciation

His departure seems to have slipped under the radar somewhat, following his lack of input following his injury and serious illness this season.
For me, not only is he deserving of his own thread of appreciation for his service to this football club, but my rough calculations suggest he's completed 10 years service and deserves a testimonial?

Completely agree. If half our players throughout the past three years had shown a tenth of his commitment and effort we'd still be in the football league.

Is there a chance you put #testimonialfortalbot instead?

Scrap that plan....
Graham Smyth @GrahamSmyth
I'm told Chesterfield will not be hosting Sheffield Wednesday in pre-season, now. No word yet if that fixture will be replaced by another.

My guess is the replacement could be Blackburn
Big Thanks to Drew, fully deserves a testimonial.

On this occasion I am not sure that I agree with you. I think Drew has done alright out of CFC.
Besides, I thought to qualify for a testimonial, 10 years' consecutive service have to be clocked up?

I dont think there is any requirement for it to be consecutive, Danny Whitts had his this weekend at Macc.

Personally I would like to see him get a testimonial, football is a short career and at our level not a massive payer.
Lets hope he is rewarded in some way and we get the opportunity to show our appreciation for his efforts.

It’s a short career but at the level he’s played he will have earned far more than those cheering him on. He’s still capable of getting another job to fund the rest of his life.

Neil has never been a fan of Drew that is to be sure and that's a bit laughable considering his performances under Sheridan in our promotion season but..
After that Drew was quite rightly compared with his pay versus performance ratio and no one can deny that is lacking....so the question is where does loyalty end? As Wlwe support him in his bad and good times...
I will let you decide! Tricky one to say he deserves a testimonial....

Think pay versus appearance ratio, not performance, is what you are getting at.
