They didn't have a say to approve or not.

If you recall AC went on record back in January to say only he and DA were dealing with the takeover bid,

The worry here then is that all Brealey has to do is come back with the same deal except for no D of F and it would go through on the nod

Unless I am mistaken, DA as majority shareholder can overrule other shareholders anyway. So what he wants goes.

I agree, two wrongs here

1. That they aren't involved
2. They accept that

Carson has repeatedly complained about being singled out for criticism when there're other Board members.

However this confirms what many have believed all along...

Could no dof be written into a sale contract?

As they say when it comes to writing a will, ‘you can’t rule from the grave’.

I agree, which begs the question why didn't they do this, this time around.

Carson's new assistants will surely be able to confirm whether the matter will be discussed at future board meeting. Carson now has a chicken and egg situation. Which comes first, the appointments or the takeover?

In you opinion, would Reg have passed the fit & proper test? Also has Ashley been good enough to confirm who the money-man was in their group?

It's interesting that Carson has at no point denied the tenets of the rumour; Brealey involved, some sort of loan arrangement and Coe to receive a seat at the table.

It would not be the first time club officials had offered a loan 'arrangement' to a discharged bankrupt, would it?

Given his record in football it would be a concern if he had, yes Alex May

So Alex May was the money-man. Does Ashley know in what industry he has accumulated his wealth from?

Pretty simple stuff - surely?

Carson tells us there was proof enough of funds to satisfy the Club's solicitors, so he must have at least a basic break-down of May's business background...mustn't he?

Or could the proof of funds required just be that the buyer had the asking price in their bank account, no questions how it had been accumulated or how long it had been there? For example if it has been loaned by someone or other to help the buyer purchase the club if they hadn't got the actual financial means themselves?

good point maybe you mean uncle Reg? Surely not uncle Dave! With regard to proof of funds accounts should be checked going back a year or more to make sure there hasn’t been a convenient recent transaction, maybe that is already the case.

If Google is basing that on the claim on his Warwick Advisory LinkedIn page, then it wants to have a look at the actual amount of business done by Warwick Advisory Partners. While my expertise lies firmly outside the financial sector, it appears to me that Companies House would suggest that Warwick Advisory Partners did not trade between being set up and struck off the register. It may of course be that it simply did not exist for long enough to file accounts, perhaps?
It's nice to be able to Trust again.
