He'll be lucky to be there at Christmas and as per last season that would be too late.

Felt sorry for Wilson but he was outdated and football has moved on. Having said that, were we in the drop zone when he was given the already too late push?

We were outside the relegtion zone when Wilson was pushed, and still outside it when GC took over.

Yes he inherited a poor squad, but in January replaced over 1000 FL starts with less than 100, of which Grimshaw had about 90, he turned a poor squad in to a terrible one.

Any stattos care to comment on our win rate over the past few seasons when Tommy is playing vs when he isn't as it seems we always struggle when he's not available.

We've got relegated twice when he's had injury problems.

Great to have Tommy back he was understandably a little nervy in the 1st half, Evo didn't do him any favours when he nearly scored an og. He lifted the fans at the start and he did one great block to keep a clean sheet. He'll get better over the next few weeks and so will the team.

Believe we have taken a huge gamble on Tommy who is still really struggling. Glad it's worked out well but get the feeling this is somewhat of a ticking time bomb

Still love him, either way.

It was now or never and they went for the 'now' option. If Tommy wanted to play, and can deal with any resultant pain, then good for him.

He's better than Anyon even at 80% and Caldwell knows this. He was close to retiring last year so it's great to see him back and hopefully he can put off the inenvitable next injury for a good for seasons!!

I think we desperately needed Tommy in the nets today to give us a bit more confidence, because Anyon has been letting in
too many goals. I think Tommy has had the perfect start for him. A clean sheet and not too much to do. Next week will be another thing altogether though
as I expect he will need to be on top form and in for a battering.

My co-Spireite was late down to the ground yesterday so we only just made it in in time to hear Tommy announced in the lineup. Equally pleased and surprised.

Why so?
If he's rehabbed well there shouldn't be a problem.
Great to have him back

Exactly, CPS.

Tommy might have a few aches and pains today but in honesty he marshalled the defence well and only had to stretch a couple of times.

I was a surprised as anybody to see him back so soon but as was proved - it was the right call by GC.

I'd wager that the poster you've quoted has 'inside knowledge' so i think it's safe to say if he says Tommy is still struggling then he's still struggling. Goes with what I heard yesterday too.

Do you have detailed knowledge of his original injury, the surgery and subsequent complications to make such a statement
