Very quiet on here today, is it because we've won, played well and got a new player who is decent and thus there's nowt to moan about?

Caldwell got it spot on with the formation change, no complaints from me today, Flores MOTM with Dennis getting a very close 2nd for work ethic alone.

Tommy Lee was immense organising the defence and shouting ou things to players, something we've missed dearly.

Sinnott looked much better as well.

Just a quick note about the referee, was alright all game until the end, gave a yellow card purely on what the Port Vale players told him, what a plum.

To be fair to the ref I think the booking was deserved, it was a very reckless dive in by McCourt. He really needs to be careful, if he'd have connected with the Vale player he'd have cut him in half.

I agree, as soon as he went in legs high I thought if you touch him your off, it's the fact he didn't see it and booked him on what he was told by the players made me angry.

Reported attendance 5,048, actual attendance 4,500 as I'm told 548 no shows

Louis Reed is like a little terrier and is willing to chase anything down. For me motm should go to Jordan Flores, looked the part all game, but when he moved central in second half we were wide open on the left side
and their right winger was on his own for large parts.

The players all played well today which is refreshing, but I have to say Caldwells tactics are absolutely woeful.

Some real good positives from today after a poor opening 25 mins. A win and a clean sheet the first two positives...

Correct. He could have. But the card was shown purely because of the reaction by the Port Vale players and bench. Not because the ref saw it as a yellow card right from the off because he allowed play to continue and never blew for the challenge.
Anyhow.
Caldwell needed that today, strangely enough I think that we still have a couple of more gears yet, so whilst the players are gelling at the moment if we can be within shouting distance of the top teams by Christmas then we can look forward to a successful season. A little mention for Wiseman who looked good today, my MOTM.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.
