In reality we should not bring anyone into the club who is over 23 and less than 5ft 10.This country is obsessed with big players so we might as well recruit to sell.

There is far to much money going into and then flowing out of the game at the top level. Players not satisfied with only earning £1 million a month etc.

As far as Clucas is concerned, I was amazed that we got in excess of £1 million for him, even in our successful side I couldn't actually tell you which position he had nailed down for himself. Probably a good thing that he could play in a few roles even though none of these seemed acceptable to the Stags hierarchy. But, seriously, did anybody ever think we would be talking about clubs valuing him at up to £20 million?

perhaps not, but to my eye he was much higher quality than League 1 & the player with most potential in our best squad in recent years.

With Abel Hernandez out for six months at least does that decrease or increase the chances of Clucas going? You'd think they couldn't afford to lose the player who was their most consistent man in the Premier League, but it is going to cost them more than £12 million to get a striker who'll get the goals Hernandez got last time they were in the Championship.

He was decent in every position which shows he had class.£20 Million should get you in to an england team...im sure turner requested a fee for that?

We could see he was good but I can't remember you or anybody else saying he would be a 15-20 million pound player in such a short space of time (if he goes for that or even at all)

Wonder if we have a clause for that...reckon he would flourish in a Swansea side playing the way they have been known to do in recent years.

Following just been retweeted by Graham at the DT :-

With suggestions today Swansea are willing to go to £15m for Sam Clucas, sources tell me Hull City have now rejected a £12m offer. #hcafc

What's £15m when you've just banked £45m?

I don't think it even crossed my mind and I was one of those suggesting we signed him as soon as I'd seen him play.
