Replacing him with a loan player isn't strengthening the club in the medium to long term.

Certainly need more than one loan in for even the short term, he was good LB cover. I think in a much better team he will be a very good signing for them.

He sounds like he could be reasonably similar though perhaps better.

Ariyibi is quickly slipping back down the league pyramid. Going higher doesn't equate success.

DD is not a left-back, was never a left-back or ever will be a left-back. Or even wing-back. He's barely even got to play in his favoured and my favoured position of him in midfield. As a left-footer in midfield he would add real balance to the team but alas we sell him when he's forced to play in his un-favoured position.
Get a proper left-back in who can get up and down the wings on loan until JBW is fit.

I suspect your idea of success is quite different from the vast majority of footballers, which is ££££ > ££.
So they languish in the reserves, or go out on loan. So what, the new car's just been delivered.

Unlikely if he's coming to us - unless it's a properly nominal amount. There's not much wriggle room in our budget and the specialist left-back we signed on loan from Huddersfield for the season is out for the campaign - though we'll still have to contribute to his wage.

Might be one or two of our more deluded fans who think we're looking for promotion this season - given our budget and the shape/balance of the squad I reckon mid-table would be a decent season.
Interesting to see that Donohue splits opinion on here. If he does end up at Fratton Park it will be interesting to see how things pan out.

Ariyibi has been sent out on loan, to a league 1 club, forest supporting mate says it was due to his attitude problem (allegedly) more than ability.

In today's paper Portsmouth have upped their bid to 200k
Obviously depends how true that is but I'd take that
