I have it on good authority that the new Physio should be starting at the club next Monday

Excellent- probably would have been wise if he had started when the training started etc (but that's an observation not a criticism;-)

Ernie - to prove I'm not always negative- just seen the mascot packages on website.
No idea how much these sort of things normally are but looks a really good deal for the money

Sheffield United was cat A game for mascot package in November, it was my son's 11th birthday that day, cost £250 I think. He missed our goal as he was getting changed, but did get on tv

Booked a full week so we too will be at both games - see you there😎
I guess they are expecting a few locals & Boro fans with the possible admission fee being charged?

If the first game is v Benfica B then that will attract a few locals. Imagine with the amount of talent coming out of Benfica in the last few years that they will have a pretty good young side.

Just had a look at the online ticket office as I thought me n the young un might go to the game against the blunts, and if the website is correct it's a near sell out, only the FS and the adjacent block in the west stand appear to have seats left. My guess is this is a website foul-up, anyone know if this is rate????

Foul up, my guess is we'll be lucky to top 3500 for this game, you will have plenty of choice for seats

Maybe but they need to start telling their fans about it, the admission fee is to cover the hire of the stadium, ref fee etc .

I wonder if the East stand and South stand will even be open???? Maybe the thought is to only have the West and North available. Loads of space in the West, so an attendance similar to the pre-season game against Wednesday last year!! I reckon I'll give it a swerve unless a few I know end up going.

So, anyone now beginning to think that the pre-season trip might not pan out as Carson has stated?

They'll have made a block booking for x amount of players. Perhaps the spare places could be utilised in some sort money making scheme.

in fairness (cant believe I'm sticking up for them but) pre season has started but did anyone expect us to have a full squad in place?
I wouldn't imagine any of the 92 clubs have their squad fully in place yet.

True but Cardon said we would do (so he lied again)

When did he say that?

I've never been under that impression. In fact, GC has recently said he will continue to work to improve the squad right up to the window closing.

That's true, my friend.

But it's equally true that he and Branston gave the distinct impression signings were 'in the pipeline' (AKA: 'irons in the fire/lots of hard work behind the scenes/signings imminent/insert optimistic cliché of choice') at the last fans' forum.

Maybe they were - but to date we've replaced summat like twenty departures with six arrivals. Six. Of whom only two, maybe three might be described as proven.

It's last January, last summer, and in many ways the summer before that all over again.
Spanish proverb: 'Pessimists are just well informed optimists'
