More than happy to sign the petition, however, having done so this box appeared about donations to petitions. I didn't want to contribute and clicked "Next". However, the page defaults to 25 dollars and says it will take it out of my paypal account. I clicked to try and get out - I won't be happy if it takes 25 dollars out of my account !

Kind gesture but in the event I wouldn't have accepted, but grateful anyway, pleased to say nothing has come out of my paypal account - thanks all and all the very best for the road naming. I used to frequent Ernies shop and he was a lovely guy.

It happened to me too, I just hit the X at the top right :)

Agree that you would need to sign into you PP account for any payment to be taken and confirm payment too.

It happened to me and I haven't even got a PP account, so I wouldn't worry.

Just bumping this back up.

Fund is into its last few days.

It's not too late to donate if you haven't done so.

Many thanks to those who have generously done so.

Regards Nigel. :)

The crowd funding page has now ended with the final total being £3.073.21p.

Just Giving deduct the following : 5% to cover their costs,13p for each credit card payment and 17p for each debit card payment.

I am informed that the remaining total should be deposited in my bank account on or around the 3rd of August.

I will then contact the Moss family and arrange for the money to be handed over to them.

Once again my many thanks to all that have so readily contributed.

It's certainly been an experience that I will never forget.

I had hoped to raise a few hundred at the most, however the emotions of that first few hours on the initial Friday night when the £2k target was surpassed just before midnight will remain with me forever.

The love for Ernie from us the real supporters of CFC at the end of that night reduced me to tears.

Respect to all of you.

Regards Nigel.

An amazing feat achieved through the efforts of ordinary fans. Forgive me if I'm wrong, as I had just returned from holiday, but in no particular order I think that this was instigated by two good friends namely Nigel Goodlad and Andy Plumtree; both people who I trust and respect and who I would turn to if I ever needed some help.

Whilst there is a lot of doom and gloom around the club/fans at the moment let's not forget about the positives of supporting Chesterfield FC and those things that can never be eroded.

Come on you Blues!

And the deepest shame on those at the helm of CFC.

A new hope.
