Presumably we don't think they will and don't want to wait to find out.

I suggest because he is on stupid money,, money no one else is prepared to pay him. Hence he needs a sweetener to go look elsewhere and take a pay ciut.

Is that the bloke who thought we were signing two Hartlepool players on deadline day when they were actually travelling down to play a reserve game against us?

Yes. He's about as much a journalist as I am Olympic sprinter. Absolute fraud.

Northampton will assume an aging Marc Richards is good enough for League 1. I hate to disappoint them!

Playing with the right players around and a formation that suits him him Marc Richards will get goals next season imo

Right player wrong time for us because he was not signed by the manager that had to play him

Maybe Novak would accept 5k. Not all footballers heads are turned by money, Drew Talbot is a good example. He was offered a lot more money somewhere else but chose to stay.

Drew stayed because it was good for Drew and his family

and because he wanted to repay the club as he felt he hadn't earned his wage properly because of his injuries. Top man!

Who offered Drew 'a lot more money'?

He said it in an interview with Spireites Player but didn't specify which club(s). Apparently Barnsley and Oxford made him an offer.

It's got more going for it than some of the rumours and speculation . Danny doesn't want him that's obvious....when was the last time he played...few minutes as a sub wasn't it......all stems back to a few weeks ago when he was asked to leave the training ground and go home...his attitude hadn't been good in training and wasn't putting in the required work...do you remember the exact phrase which was used...something like he'd been rested and stood down for a week or so..all stems from that and for Danny to have done that then it won't have been the first time...had similar issues with Harrison and shipped him out too...it's a shame but I would expect he's been told to look elsewhere..we are hamstrung with his contract but fingers crossed they can sort something out.

To be fair Novak does the work of 2 strikers so its like having 2 on 2.5k each which would be a massive improvement on this season where we had 2 on 5k each with one sat on his arris most of the time (whether on the pitch or not!)

Right oh. In the real world it's like having 1 striker on 5k

He's simply does a fair amount of closing down, we had others who were just as hard working. He is not a freak but he will be expensive.
God I hate this league.

I thought Drew stayed mainly for family, a young one similar to Novak. Transferring that logic, Lee will be playing for Walsall or Burton next season.
