Just had a look through the Snooker Worlds betting (a game I think I know a lot more about than golf or horse racing)
The Rocket is obvious favourite but 15/8 is too short given his mental state sometimes, so there is definitely some value to be had elsewhere. That said, if he's on it, no one should get near him. The only player that seems to be able to get to him is Selby, and he wouldn't meet him til the Semi's.
Assuming Ronnie wins his half of the draw, the value would then come from the top half (if you're gonna back anyone else each way) and Bingham is too big at 25's although history would suggest he won't successfully defend his title.
If Ronnie isn't on his game then Selby at 10's or Murphy at 12's would both stick out from the bottom half of the draw.
Finally, Ding Junhui seems to have hit some form in the qualifiers (10-4, 10-1, 10-2), so if he gets drawn in the top half in tomorrows 10am draw, he's certainly worth a small EW punt at 20's too.
In summary, Ronnie should justify favouritism but at 15/8 there are better priced players in the betting with EW 1/2 odds for reaching the final.
No odds on a 147 on the the sites I use but definitely worth a few quid, given the standard the top players play to now.
