And what if Burnley don't want us to say how much we've been paid? It's not just about our club, it's the buying club too.

Well the local rag reported around 600K for what it's worth
Whatever it sounds like Burnley guzumped Preston and Risdale tried to match them. Justice was done
Just goes to prove, having an asshole in charge costs you in the end

My view is that offer should have been turned down - 800k no less - Burnley are rolling in it!

It's to stop comments like this that fees are undisclosed.
If the actual fee was the reported 600k it proves our transfer strategy over the summer has worked really well. We have been refusing bids from Preston and Wigan all summer, if we'd have accepted them we'd have received less than half the money we eventually received. Another CT success story. Downside is that we haven't got much time to bring in replacements but that is well countered by Us Having a lot more money available to fund the deals.

So you'd say CT hasn't done well in refusing the lower bids and doubling our money? There really is no pleasing some folk. Very odd.

You tell half a story, the other half i'm not impressed with. Him seemingly touting our players in the press, telling us people won't be sold, taking swipes at the fans, and then not replacing them when he goes back on his word and sells them. Still waiting for us to reinvest this Cooper, Doyle, Roberts money which people seem convinced will happen let alone re-investing the great money we got for Darikwa and Clucas. On paper now our squad is the worst it has been for some time and some folk seem ok with it with the season a week away.
The money is great for the squad but nothing has been reinvested yet unless you include a half fit striker, a kid from Gateshead and a 4th keeper we don't need.
Your post is like saying Charles Bronson is a good guy cos he sends paintings to kids who are ill - completely ignoring the other part of the story the fact he liked going round chopping people up.

You might want to keep your powder dry on that one until we've seen the 11th hour replacements for half a team. Assuming we get them that soon, of course...

So clever a strategy that it was as advocated by 100% of posters on here. Indeed, I take some acclaim, as I told the PNE imposter to not let his club be outbid by their local rivals.

Clubs will forever be in debt at this rate.
If I were in charge no club would be able to buy a player without paying up-front hard cash and then only be allowed to buy a player if the club had a positive bank account without the input of obvious financial backing.
Any teams in debt due to improving facilities or stadia or developing youth players would be exempt and continue to be able to buy players.
All teams would not have more than five foreign players in a squad.
Accounts of each club should have to be scrutinised at the end of each season by the football league.
Ticket prices to be set accordingly at each league level a maximum and minimum so fans are not taken advantage of.
All matches to kick off at 3pm on a saturdaywith one football league game and one premiership game kicking off on a Sunday at 3pm.
FA Cup final to be played as the last game of the season.
Play-offs.
6th v 5th winner then places 4th place, winner of that plays 3rd place at wembley, so coming 3rd actually gives you an advantage.
Before the FA start critising FIFA and demanding transparency maybe they should look closer to home. And sort the mess English football is in. I will enjoy the day when the banks finally catch up with one of the top clubs and bankrupt it.
